Toe Ring Sizing

If you already know what size to order, please note it in the Special Order Instructions section during the checkout process.

We have four sizing methods. First, decide what toe you would like to wear your rings on. Our customers have worn them on every toe, but the second and third toes are the most popular choices. The most common sizes for women are 3–5; men most commonly wear 6–8. All our toe rings come in half sizes for the best possible fit.

Thumb ring sizes range from 7–11, but most people wear a size 8 through 10 1/2. Knuckle rings and pinky rings are worn a little snug. Thumb rings should be loose enough to be comfortable but may feel “new” for the first day or two.

Sizing Method #1

Use a piece of dental floss or a skinny piece of string, and wrap it around the middle section of the toe (or thumb, knuckle or pinky) where you would like the ring to rest. Cut or mark at the exact location where the two ends meet (be careful!) making a complete circle. Line the floss up against a flat ruler that has a millimeter measurement, and use that number as your 1st Size. Then measure the widest part of toe pad repeating the process with the floss. This measurement will be entered as your 2nd Size. For best results, round down, not up.

For instance, your order will look something like this:

1st Size: 44 mm
2nd Size: 48 mm

Sizing Method #2

Paper Ring Sizer

Print this page and cut sizer along the lines. Make sure your printer is not reducing or enlarging the sizer. This tool should print at just under 2 1/2 inches. If it prints too large, try reducing the size through the printer settings.

Place the edge where the word “Wrap” begins on top of your toe center. Wrap the paper towards the arrow direction and pull snug around the toe. Use tape to secure down if necessary.

Make sure the sizer paper is snug and not loose around the toe knuckle and record the smallest size. If you have a very large toe pad that is more than two sizes larger than your toe ring size, consider ordering a half size larger.

Note your size in the Special Order Instructions section when ordering. Leave the mm sizing selections set to default (“mm”).

If you do not have a metric ruler, this website can be helpful in converting centimeters to millimeters.

Sizing Method #3

We do offer a “Try Me on for Size” multisizer to accurately measure your toe size at home. This plastic sizing tool works like a mini-belt and can be used over and over again.

Buy a sizing belt for $1 plus 75¢ shipping and handling.

Sizing Method #4

You can stop by your local jewelry store and ask them to measure your toe. The fit should be snug but not too tight allowing for some swelling but not so loose that it easily slips off.

If you already know what size toe ring you wear, you can add the exact size information to the Special Order Instructions section when submitting your order. Leave the mm size selections set to default (“mm”) or you can figure out your size based on these mm conversions:

size 2 = 41 mm
size 3 = 44 mm
size 4 = 46 mm
size 5 = 49 mm
size 6 = 51 mm
size 7 = 54 mm
size 2 1/2 = 43 mm
size 3 1/2 = 45 mm
size 4 1/2 = 48 mm
size 5 1/2 = 50 mm
size 6 1/2 = 53 mm
size 7 1/2 = 55 mm
